... or how to botch your release.
Earlier today it finally happened. I released The Foreign Effect on the books on demand platform Lulu.com. Like other books on demand services Lulu offers the possibility to sell your books (for a noticeably smaller profit margin) on retailers like Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.
Being "on demand" and such, meaning only printing copies upon order, I thought it would take maybe a couple of days, maybe a week to list The Foreign Effect on Amazon. I might have mentioned before, that the whole releasing a book thing for me - at least for now - is not about profit, but about the fact that I released a book. I am also aware that not everyone will want to create an account with Lulu to order the thing. Therefore I was kind of betting on Amazon to be the main muscle of this whole book release ...
Well, turns out it will take 6-8 weeks until The Foreign Effect will be listed and I have royally screwed myself. One might say "it is a learning experience" but I would be lying if I'd say, I wasn't angry at myself for messing this up.
So, if you are dying to get your hands on the book and aren't bothered by having to sign up with Lulu to order it, a) You are a fucking amazing person! and b) You can do so now. I even leave you the Lulu.com Storepage here. If you buy The Foreign Effect, please leave me an honest review on Lulu. It helps me out a lot, thank you!
